Privacy policy

Who we are
ClipCounty ("we", "us") is a short-form video production service trading as Clip County. For anything about your data, write to hamsa@clipcounty.com — that reaches a person, not a ticket queue.
What we collect
- What you send us in forms. Your name, email address, a link to your show, how much you record, and anything you type into the message box.
- Footage you share with us. The recordings you send for clipping, plus any transcripts or project files we create from them.
- Basic usage data. Standard web-server records — pages requested, approximate location from IP address, browser type.
Why we collect it
- To reply to you and quote for work — our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you started.
- To deliver the service you've bought — performance of our contract with you.
- To keep accounting and tax records — our legal obligation.
Your footage
Recordings you send stay yours. We use them only to produce the clips you've asked for. We do not publish them, we do not add them to a public showreel without your written permission, and we do not use them to train machine-learning models. Ask us to delete a recording and we will, within 30 days, apart from anything we must keep for accounting.
Who else sees your data
Only the suppliers we need to run the service: our email provider, our file-storage provider, our transcription tool, our scheduling tool and our payment processor. Each is bound to handle your data only on our instructions. We never sell your data, and we never share it for anyone else's advertising.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become clients: 24 months, then deleted.
- Client project files: for the life of the contract plus 12 months.
- Invoices and accounting records: as long as tax law requires.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If we later add analytics, we'll ask for your consent first and update this page before it goes live.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we're using it. Email hamsa@clipcounty.com and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with how we've handled it, you can complain to your national data-protection authority — in the UK that's the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and if the change is significant we'll email current clients about it.
